‘The Burden’ Lute from Violinist of Hameln.

Honestly guys, I am happy with this, but I did not mean for this to look so fanservice-y *sigh* totally not the point I was going for here. It looks like I based on some random fanfiction where character finds hot spring, strips, and gets in… horribleness happens… Raiel dies of a nosebleed…

Wait - didn’t that happen in the anime? Except it was Flute in the spring…

Anyway, my reason for this image was to show the cross shape mark that Lute has on his back… without having to draw anything related to what happens in book 26 (because then I’d just start crying again T.T ) I wanted this to be pretty but meaningful. I wanted to allude to the emotional burden he had to carry as both first born prince and high priest. Really this is the reason he’s my favorite character, he hid the pain and fear behind a smile and stepped up to protect everyone he held dear.

I just love Lute, now I just wish I could pull this off without it looking so… so… >.O yeeeah…

(If you’re wondering why he’s taking his cape into the water like that, it’s because I didn’t want to draw him naked - for above mentioned reasons.)
