thank you gift art I’m working on for someone, but I keep mussing up the color job and I’m debating on texturing them with cross-hatching if you couldn’t tell from Sollux’s hair.
- syblatortue said: so that’s why my fishies are getting so fat! ;p
I’m not going to be happy until they’re all fat little fishies that can’t hardly swim in such a tiny tiny square XD
I come to snoop through all your beautiful art - and there they are… gathering in the corner… looking so hungry and wiggly. Then there’s always that one little fish that never gets the food!! 15 minutes go by while I try to get food to the little fish that isn’t getting any!
Then I stop and think… they’re digital fish they don’t need to eat.
But then I tell my rational brain to shut up, I’m trying to feed Syblatortue’s fish!!
I rest happy knowing that my blog can now trap people with fish too :3
(PS - I love your work so much, I can’t even begin to tell you. I apologize for all the times I’ve probably spammed your dash with likes and reblogs, LOL)
I am gonna sit RIGHT here and drink my coffee while staring at tumblr because - curse it all - I am running on two hours of sleep! I stayed up most of the night to finish that sculpture and II AM 2TIILL NOT DONE.
woah, Sollux, get out of my text post we’re not RPing anymore.
LOL you did the same thing I do whenever I get on Syblatortue’s blog. I get stuck feeding her fish for ages, they’re so addicting.
I found them there, but you can get your own little koi pond here:
Click “edit settings” and you can change the size of the pond, the background of the pond, the colors of the fish, and number of fish. Then you just copy the code and paste it into your coding for your blog. Usually… within the body I think…. I’m having the brain fuzzies right now… I can’t quite remember where it should go. With mine I was able to do the copy past thing into the description area of my theme without having to actually open of the coding.
You might want to play with size though, it’s in pixels. If it’s too big for your menu/description area it will force the frames out and look wonky.
My doom 2en2e2 are tiingliing
II have the iinten2e de2iire two 2crew wiith 2omeone’s miind and make them a mii2erable angry ball of nubby horned fury.
…. AH! BEHOLD!
why do I have to get so attached to my work. I know I have to tear down my sculpture from last week but I can’t hardly make myself do it. I know I can’t save it. I know I can’t keep him, but tearing him down is the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do.
Best of luck sweetie! You can get through it! And then you can look forward to your break in the evening. So break out your war face and allons-y!
Midterms next week, store walk through rescheduled for next week, dentist appointment of doom is next week, chiropractor is next week (except that’s a good thing, that makes me feel better.)
I just woke up this morning with a headache and my ankle still hurting from when I twisted it on the escalator at the mall.
I just want to draw Captors and play Borderlands 2 now. But I have to get my sculpture started before sun-down. Contrapposto lady pose.
but that means tearing apart my pretty man… I shall miss you pretty man. you were lovely.
anyway… thank you :3 and I hope you’re looking forward to getting your ass handed to you tonight mwah ha ha ha ha.
I need a cup of coffee and my migraine pills. It’s only
morning 20 minutes to noon and I’m already having a doozy of a day.
there we go, I’ll throw a w.i.p. at you before I go to work. I’ll finish him when I get home.
what is this this is too damn cute to exist goodbye
The lines are too perfect.. I WANT YOUR LINES
LOL thank you! XD
It is a royal pain in the butt getting lines to look right. It’s why inking takes so incredibly long when I’m doing commissions or serious business stuff like this Sollux design. I super zoom in close for details and use pressure sensitivity to get various line thicknesses. Also this image of Sollux is at a 500ppi resolution and I usually work at 300. I’m able to get better line control at higher resolutions where I can zoom close.
Even this has a light sketchiness to it - but I chose that. I like the ‘pencil’ look.
But I do have a problem with line control on really curvy things like… tentacles and biowires… or long tails. That sort of thing.
If you zoom in super close you’re going to see how wibbly my lines get sometimes and I’ll OCD over the line quality on them. It’s why Helmsmen pics take me ages to get done. I’m still correcting the biowires.
It also doesn’t help that I drink far too much caffeine and my hands shake something awful.
woooo, I submitted a last moment Sollux design.
It will probably be a few days before he shows up because I literally posted him like 30 minutes before the deadline.
(I’ll reblog this with the Ancestor one when the time comes for voting.)
Welp, there go my chances in this contest.
(Translation: I need this)
BUT I LOVE YOUR BEENARY DESIGN!! I want one!
